A series of photographs exploring the lingering influence—on the land and people of Hawai‘i—and lifestyle of the missionary families. The title refers to the disparity between the conditions of the immigrant population imported to work in the sugar plantations and the economic power wielded by the large corporations founded by the descendants of the missionaries. Images are 24"X32" inkjet prints.
